Luckily on our last day in Paris we had more time than we expected. We decided to visit Sacre Coeur. It is a large church atop one of the highest points in the city – Montmarte. We had to climb many stairs to get to the top. The church was beautiful. Unfortunately it began to rain so we didn’t stick around for too long. But we DID make sure to grab our first and last Crepes of our trip.

Once again Justine came through as an excellent friend. On mine and Tammy’s France bucket list was to eat some French cheeses. What better way than to learn from a French girl herself??

The Louvre
The Louvre was majestic and gargantuan. I’ve never seen an art museum of such massive proportions. The symbolic glass pyramids were exciting to see as well. Surprisingly the wait to get inside didn’t take too long and our entrance fee was free because we are under 26.
We’ve been told that it can take DAYS to get through the museum so we decided on visiting the most famous pieces of art and wandering through a couple exhibits.

The Catacombs
The Catacombs was first on our adventure list on Friday. Once we arrived at the entrance, we saw that there was a queue. And we walked and walked and walked past the never ending line of people ALL the way around the block. Seems like everybody had the same idea as us! It ended up being a solid two hour wait to get in. But it was worth it. (more…)
