On our last night in Barcelona we decided to not hang out at the hostel and find out what everyone else was doing, but rather go off ourselves at establishments that were more “local.”

Our last night in Barcelona

We Made it to Manchester!
Hi everyone!
I know I’m behind on updating about Spain and Amsterdam, but I wanted to let everyone know that we made it safely to Manchester. I loved Spain and Amsterdam so much – that’s why I haven’t been updating because I’ve been too busy going out and doing things!
I don’t really get wifi in Lara’s abode, so my postings may be sparse (and probably won’t have photos either… sad) but I will try my best.
Yesterday we made a trip out to Liverpool, which is a very creatively stimulating town in my opinion (and where the Beatles first played) and today we are taking it easy and going to farm country: Strines!

Laying on the beach, one last time
On our final day in Barcelona, rather than jumping on a train early to Madrid as we had originally intended, the warm temperature and bright sun beckoned us to the beach one last time.

The Flamenco Show
Right next door to our hostel in Plaza Real was a small place where they had multiple flamenco shows per night. Luckily we also received a discount price since we booked the hostel next door.

Electric Bikes to Montjuic
Our walking tour guide was so wonderful that we decided to take his electric bike tour to Montjuic. It was SO MUCH FUN. For anyone going to Barcelona, you need to do this tour and request JB. We Heard about it originally through our hostel, Kabul.

Barcelona Day 3
This was my favorite day in Barcelona! We started the day out right with some churros con chocolate for breakfast.

Gourmet Tapas
After our walking tour, we were ruled by our stomachs and found a really nice tapas place outside of la Catedral and the architecture school. First we said we were only going to have 3 or 4 tapas but they were so good we ended up havin at least 8 each.

Stairway to Heav- Hostel
The stairs at our hostel are so steep. We have to step sideways to get up and down them. It is like climbing.
