Afternoon tea
Lara took me out for some traditional English afternoon tea at Richmond Tea Room. The scones, clotted cream, and jam was phenomenal.

Madrid in a Nutshell
Madrid was wonderful – and so hot! I have to admit that this city is exhausting – not only with the late nights that the Spanish are so fond of, but the amount of walking and the heat we faced in our journey. There was so much to do and see in Madrid and with only a few days there, we barely scratched the surface. (more…)

Going to Wales!
Opportunity has arisen and Lara and I are going on a road trip to Wales today with the wonderful Graham!
This is one of my favorite things about not having plans when traveling…. Now I get to go to a new country I wasn’t planning on visiting before! Love to everyone in the states!! <3

Madrid Day 1
We arrived in Madrid a little past nine since we stayed on the beach in Barcelona for most of our day. Our map reading skills were not successful when we got off our metro line and spent more time than necessary looking for our hostel that was only a block away.

A Day at the Peak District
What a gorgeous day it was for us at Strines and The Peak District! The weather was glorious. We played with cows. We went to Chatsworth (where Pride and Prejudice was filmed) and drove through the Winett Pass, ate in Eyam (so good!) and had a great time with our tour guide Graham.
