Including today, I leave in a little less than 6 days. It is incredible how quickly the time passes. It seems like it was only hours ago when back in the winter Tammy proposed the idea of a European backpacking adventure and I spent the rest of the evening bouncing off the walls of Hancock House in complete excitement.
The most difficult thing about preparing to leave isn’t necessarily the planning (let’s face it, the best plans in life are the ones made up along the way), it is trying to meet up with everyone I’d like to see before I leave. Between tying up loose ends with my job, purchasing travel goods, and making final arrangements, the list of people I’d like to see grows longer as the time shortens.
The best thing about this trip is that I will be back in no time. And for those whose company I don’t get to have before I leave, I can always meet with when I return – and will have great stories to tell!
