Technology Fails

I have the WORST fortunes when it comes to technology. And this ill fate of technology blunders has followed me overseas. That’s why I haven’t updated for some time – tech problems.

Mostly because my phone charger disappeared. I’m fairly certain that the ladies from our Sorrento hostel may have mistakenly taken it thinking it was their own. The good news is that I found a generic charger. The bad news is that with my Amanda-proof protective case, it won’t fit in. And on top of it, I spent the whole day trying to get the dang case off. It really was Amanda-proof!!

So my phone issues are semi-solved, but every other electronic device has also failed on me. My really nice international adapter that I splurged on stopped working when Tammy used it for her hairdryer. Stupid hairdryer. And my camera puts a mysterious black dot in the center of every photo I take.

So as you can see, my relationship with technology is not a successful one. This trip is all about learning and this is one lesson I’ve learned:

Time to resort to the easy days of disposable cameras and carrier pigeons!!

The good thing is you still have the oldest technology piece of equipment. Your brain. It will retain all your six sences of your trip. It just makes it harder to share! Look forward to your next update. It always makes me feel better
