    I’m about to reveal the most expensive photos I’ve ever taken.

    No, I did not hire a photographer for these gems of photos you’re about to see.

    Let me set the scene:

    A balmy May afternoon in Rome – our first day in Italy, my second day in Europe. We just toured the Colosseum, both a bit high from the excitement of our tour. We circled the Colosseum, as we gushed over experiencing this ancient wonder where Gladiators fought during the Roman Empire. Gladiators. Speaking of Gladiators, two ever-so-charming men garbed in Gladiator costumes caught our attention and invited us over.   (more…)

  • When in Roma

    What a day in Roma!! It started out right with a chocolate-filled pastry (paste) from a cute Italian bakery on the corner. The sky was blue without a single cloud and the temperature reached a warm 80 degrees.

    With missing a day of sightseeing yesterday, there was much to do.

  • I found my happy place

    It is half past 1 in Rome and I’m freshly showered and in bed. Although Tammy and I arrived much later than expected, we still took advantage of our time by befriending our hostel mates Fizz from Canada and Mr. Brazil from Sao Paolo and went to an amazing outdoor restaurant where I indulged in thin crust pizza al proscuitto and tiramisu.
